FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 Osteopaths are required to complete a five-year university qualification - a three-year Bachelor of Science and two years of Masters of Osteopathy.

All Osteopaths are insured and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 

  Hands-on treatment may require you to remove items of clothing (depending on the location of your issue) . 

We will supply you with a treatment gown if you wish. 

It is best to wear loose clothing if possible. 

Initial OSTEOPATHY consultations are 45 mins and are $150.

Subsequent OSTEOPATHY consultations are 30 mins and are $105. 

Long Osteopathy consultations (if required) are 60 mins and are $205. 

Medicare consultations are 30 mins and must be referred by a General Practitioner under a team-care-arrangement. We do not bulk bill. 

MASSAGE consultations are - 

30 mins $75

60 mins $125. 

  If you have Osteopathy or Remedial Massage/Myotherapy included in your 'extras' cover, some of the treatment may be covered. The amount will vary depending on your provider and the level of cover you have. 

We are able to make claims on the spot, so you will only have to pay the gap amount.  

  A referral is not needed.

  There are a few key differences that set Osteopathy apart from other manual therapies. 

We focus on finding the underlying cause of your issue so that long lasting relief can be achieved. 

Each consultation is allocated to only one person, so your osteopath will be able to focus solely on your issue.  They will spend time working on muscles and joints, and will prescribe some simple exercises and lifestyle advice to increase the effect of treatment.
